EQuIP (Educators Evaluating the Quality of Instructional Products)is an initiative of the American Diploma Project (ADP) Network designed to identify high-quality materials aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). EQuIP builds on a collaborative effort of education leaders from Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island that Achieve facilitated. The outcome of that effort was the development of the “Tri-State Rubrics” and a quality review process designed to determine the quality and alignment of instructional lessons and units to the CCSS. Find tools and resources below that Illinois is utilizing in the effort to align multi-day lesson plans and units to the New Illinois Learning Standards Incorporating the Common Core.

The Coaching Tool (available in both print and digital versions) helps teachers, and those who support them, build understanding about CCSS-aligned instruction. It is organized around three Core Actions that encompass the Key Shifts in instructional practice. Each Core Action consists of individual indicators that describe teacher and student behaviors that exemplify Common Core-aligned instruction. This tool was developed by Student Achievement Partners and can be found on their website achievethecore.org.
